Anna S. Carr, Deputy Director

Anna Carr was appointed Deputy Director of Legislation and Public Affairs on May 2, 2004. She brings over 22 years of professional legislative, policy and fiscal experience as an employee of the State of California and the California Legislature, including over 12 years experience as a Manager. Other State Service includes the Department of Insurance, where Carr served as the Deputy Director of the Legislative Office and the Department of Social Services and Department of Health Services, where she was a Manager. Her service with the Legislature includes the Legislative Analyst's Office, where she was a Fiscal and Policy Analyst, and the Senate Health and Human Services Committee, where she was a Consultant. Carr holds a Bachelor of Arts from the University of California at Santa Cruz where she double-majored in Economics and Politics and a Master of Public Administration from the University of Southern California.
