Steven V. Giorgi, Executive Director

Steven V. Giorgi was unanimously appointed by the Commission as Executive Director on September 12, 2005. He has held five Governor's appointments since 1997. These appointments included Chief of Enforcement for the Department of Consumer Affairs, Chief of the Bureau of Security and Investigative Services and Deputy Director for the California Office of Homeland Security and Deputy Director of Consumer Affairs. Giorgi retired from federal law enforcement in 1997 after 28 years of distinguished service. His last 13 years of federal service were as Chief of the Criminal Division for the United States Treasury Department in Sacramento. He also served as the Deputy Director of the Treasury Department's Financial Crimes Enforcement Network in Washington, D.C.
