Cy Ricards, Chief Counsel

Cy Rickards was appointed Chief Counsel on August 16, 2004. He has been a lawyer in the public sector for more than 26 years, with the past 19 years in State service. Rickards has served in the Attorney General's Office in the Government, Legislative and Indian and Gaming Law Sections. He has also served as Chief of the Enforcement Division of the Fair Political Practices Commission and as Deputy Director for Legal Affairs for the Department of General Services. Prior to joining state service, Rickards served as a Sacramento County Public Defender.
